Reviewing results

Each completed assessment produces an attempt. Attempts live under the assessment's Results tab.

The list

The list gives you one row per attempt with the candidate, the score, and the status. It is the right view for comparing a funnel; the individual attempt is where you decide anything about one person.

An individual attempt

Opening an attempt shows every question with the candidate's answer:

  • Multiple choice — what they selected, what was correct, and the marks awarded under your scoring rules
  • Code — their source, which test cases passed, and per-test-case timing. Failed cases show the expected and actual values, so you can tell a wrong algorithm from an off-by-one in an edge case
  • Essay — their text, and a field for you to award marks

Section-level scores are shown alongside the overall score. On an assessment with more than one topic, the breakdown is usually the more useful number.

If you enabled proctoring, its event log appears here too, on the same timeline.

Marking essays

Essays are the only type that needs you. An attempt containing one stays incomplete in the scoring sense until someone awards marks, and the overall score is not final until then.

Exports

Two exports:

  • The result list for an assessment, as a file — for your own analysis, or to attach to a hiring record
  • A single attempt as PDF — the full detail of one candidate's assessment, suitable for sharing with a hiring manager who does not have an account

Both are subject to the same retention rules as the data they contain. An export you have downloaded is outside the platform and outside our erasure guarantees; it becomes your responsibility to delete when a candidate asks.

Automated decisions

Nothing in the platform makes a hiring decision.

Concretely: candidates are never shown their score, no email tells a candidate an outcome, no status changes on the basis of a score, and no candidate is filtered, ranked or excluded automatically. The pass mark is a label for your team.

This is deliberate, and it is what keeps the decision — and the accountability for it under GDPR Article 22 — with you as the employer rather than with a piece of software.

It follows that if you connect an integration or export scores into your own system, the platform sends you the measurement and your own threshold, never a pass/fail verdict. Applying the comparison is yours to do, and yours to be able to explain to a candidate who asks why they were rejected. Automating that rejection on your side is a decision you are making — one with obligations attached.

Retaking

If a candidate needs another go, raise the attempt allowance on their invitation. Each attempt is stored separately; a retake does not overwrite the first.

Candidate access

Candidates cannot log in and cannot see results. Anything you want a candidate to have, you send them yourself.
