Streams
A stream is a cohort: a group of students working through a scheduled series of assessments together, ranked against each other at the end. It is the right tool for a bootcamp intake, a university course, a graduate programme or an internship selection round — anywhere you are assessing many people on the same material over weeks rather than assessing one candidate for one job.
Streams require an Advanced plan or above, and the cohort ceiling is what scales with the plan:

The limit is per stream, not per month, so a Professional account can run any number of 200-student cohorts.
How it differs from hiring assessments

Stream attempts never count against your monthly test-attempt allowance. Streams is capped separately by the cohort ceiling above, which is what stops a 200-student cohort consuming a hiring plan's candidate budget.
Setting one up
A stream has a name, description, tags, and a start and end date with a timezone. The timezone matters more than it looks: test windows are interpreted in it, and a cohort spread across countries all get the same deadline.
Other settings worth knowing before you create one:
Welcome message — shown to students when they first arrive. Say what the programme is, how many assessments there will be, and what happens with the results.
Allowed email domains — restrict enrolment to specific domains, for example a university's. Useful when you are importing lists supplied by someone else and want a typo to fail loudly.
Maximum students — your own ceiling for this cohort, on top of the plan's.
Reminders — how many days before a test's deadline students are nudged. Two reminders, defaulting to 5 days and 1 day out, and each test can override them.

Lifecycle

| Active | Running. Tests open and close on schedule, reminders go out. |
| Completed | Finished, results kept and readable. |
| Canceled | Stopped early. A reason is recorded. |
| Archived | Out of the way, still readable. |
Activation and cancellation both record who did it and when; cancellation also records why.
Stay in Draft until the schedule is right. Activating is what starts sending things to students, and a corrected deadline is much cheaper before a hundred people have already been emailed the wrong one.
